Challenge YOUrself #39

Hello! Tonight I'm sharing a page created for this month's challenge from Challenge YOUrself!

For the use of negative space, I masked a border frame around the page and then misted page. The result was......well, positive! :)

Until next time, happy scrap booking and paper crafting!

Let's Get Sketchy - March 1 Sketch Challenge

Here's the March 1 Sketch from Let's Get Sketchy:

For this page, I decided to hand letter my title with some smaller letter stickers to compliment it. It always feels good to pull out my Zig Writer brush markers! I've had them for years and they still work GREAT.

For the dolphins in the background, I used a 12x12 Dolphins stencil from TCW (designed by Carmen Medlin).

Sketches In Thyme - Sketch #270

Here's Sketch #270 from Sketches in Thyme.
While the sketch called for one horizontal photo, I used two vertical pictures instead.

Let's Get Sketchy - March Mid-Month Challenge

Hello! Today I'm sharing a page created for the March Mid-Month Challenge at Let's Get Sketchy

What appealed to me about this sketch was its simplicity. The large background element was a star, but I decided to create a background specific to my photo theme - the ocean.

Usually, I do not use bulky embellishments on my pages. However, I added some shells I found on the beach to help me remember the time spent here.

Until next time, happy scrap booking and paper crafting.

Creative Scrappers - Sketch 304

Hello! Our family recently enjoyed some vacation time (Spring Break) in North Myrtle Beach, SC. We had a blast and now I'll have plenty fun pictures to scrapbook. Today I'm sharing a page featuring several pictures from our trip. Thanks goes to Creative Scrappers and their Sketch 304 for the inspiration!

During our trip, I squeezed in a little shopping -- including a trip to an awesome paper crafting store called "Scrapbooks By The Sea." If you're ever in the Myrtle Beach area, I recommend carving out some time to shop here. Among the variety of things I purchased was this 6x6 Sea Creatures stencil from TCW (designed by Carmen Medlin). It worked perfectly for adding some background images to this layout! This time I used ink with the stencil, but I'm looking forward to using embossing paste with it on future pages and cards!

Until next time, happy scrap booking and paper crafting!
