Let's Get Sketchy - May Week 2

Here's the May Week 2 sketch from the Let's Get Sketchy blog followed by my take on the sketch. 

For the title on this layout, I used some old pre-cut letters that a friend put on the "Free Table" at a crop. I LOVE the free table at crops -- it's a great way to share something you no longer want or need to someone who will put it to good use. If you don't already have a "Free Table" at your crops, give it a try sometime. :)

Today I'm working with some older photos -- about 4 or 5 years old. I needed some "kitchen" related photos for another challenge, and I found more than enough pictures to use with this sketch as well!

National Scrapbook Day! -- Scrap Our Stash + The Scrap Room

Hope you enjoyed your National Scrapbook Day (NSD) along with a meaningful Mother's Day! I enjoyed plenty of time at my crafting table where I completed several NSD Challenges on scrapbook.com. Plus, I also completed this page for the NSD Challenge sponsored by Scrap Our Stash and The Scrap Room!

For the SOS portion of this challenge, I chose to use the following from the pre-selected stash list!

For The Scrap Room portion of the challenge, I chose the following sketch from a choice of 5 different sketches (which were all really nice and it was hard to choose)!

Here's the May Week 1 sketch from the Let's Get Sketchy blog followed by the layout I created.

For the background papers, I wanted to break up the solid papers a bit so I used some Color Shine spray (Heidi Swapp). While the sketch had places for 4 photos, I decided to use just 2 and was happy with the result!

Scrap Our Stash - May Stash Challenge

Today I'm sharing the layout I made for the May Stash Challenge on the Scrap Our Stash blog!

The large heart on the book cover inspired me to fill my page with a heart "frame." Since using flowers on the page was also part of the challenge, I finally used some paper flowers that have been in my stash for at least 3 years -- Yippee!!
