Let's Get Sketchy - October Week 4

Hello Friends!

Today, I have a layout to share with you based on the October Week 4 sketch from Let's Get Sketchy

If you've been saving scraps, the layers in this sketch are a great reason to dig in and put them to good use.

I had a blast shuffling through my scraps today thanks to this sketch.

Stuck?! Sketch & Bday Card

Hello Friends! Today, I'm sharing a page and also a birthday card.

First, the card .... Several months ago, I was given a sheet of "burlap" specialty paper. I've been having fun using scraps of it here and there. I thought a small strip of "burlap" would add an interesting texture to this card.

Let me know if you've tried "burlap" or other specialty papers...I'd love to see more ideas on using different papers!

Now for the page...The inspiration for this layout came from this sketch found on the Stuck?! Sketches blog. All the stars on this sketch looked like fun -- and I loved the opportunity to use some old "star" brads and other star embellishments that have been in my stash for years!

Second project - Envelope Album! This album is made from 6 envelopes and it was so quick and easy to make. When you're ready to have some FUN, here is a link to a video that will show you how!

October: BoBunny Blog Sketch Challenge

Here's the October sketch from the BoBunny blog!

All the tags in this sketch looked like fun, so I decided to use them to include lots of "extra" summer photos.

In addition to the visible photos on the page, each tag also has a photo on one side (and journaling on the other)!

The bottom background paper (red/white stripe) is from the BoBunny "Boardwalk" collection. I also used a couple papers from the BoBunny "Lemonade stand" collection!

Let's Get Sketchy - October Week 2

Loved the simplicity of the sketch this week from Let's Get Sketchy! In fact, I'm already planning more layouts based off this sketch.

Here is a look at the page I did today off this sketch. Hope you enjoy it.

Gotta give a "shout out" to my friend, Sonia! She birthday gifted me the awesome foam letter stickers I used for the title on this page. Thanks, Sonia!

Until next time...Happy scrappin'!

Happy Scraptober Fest!

Have you heard about Scraptober Fest? To be honest, I'd never heard of it either, but it looked too fun not to give it a try! Here's how it works....If you create a layout, combining (4) challenges on one layout and link it up to each participating blog, you will be eligible for a chance to win the ScraptoberFest BONUS prize.
This weekend, I went to a crop where I completed this layout. Here's a couple "selfies" of our tables at the crop. Met all these ladies through scrapbooking over the years. Such a FUN group!
