Stop Motion Film: Just for Fun!!

Just for fun, I have been playing with one of my daughter's Christmas gifts....It is called "Stikbot" and it is a toy used for creating "stop motion" film shorts. I have not been using the toys or green screen that came with the set. But, I have been using the phone stand that came with and the free smartphone app called "Stikbot."

My first film was with the game called "Jenga" and can be seen on my Instagram @EGrupp284.

For my second stop motion film, my subject was this scrapbook page...no sketch, no challenge....just for fun!

Your December Story (Challege 6) & Let's Get Sketchy: December Week 4

Here's my page for Challenge 6 in "Your December Story" from the folks at "Get It Scrapped." For more information about this 6-week experience please visit "Your December Story."

For page layout inspiration, once again I turned to a sketch from the Let's Get Sketchy blog! Here is the December Week 4 sketch:

The background paper used for this layout has been in my stash for a very long time...so long, in fact, that I can't even remember when or where I found it. It may be an older design, but it works perfectly for the photos on this page!

Until next time, happy scrapbooking and papercrafting!

Your December Story (Challenge 5) & Let's Get Sketchy: December Week 3

Here's my page for Challenge 5 in "Your December Story" from the folks at "Get It Scrapped." This Challenge called for a page about reaching your holiday goals and reaping the rewards of all of your holiday endeavors. For more information about this 6-week experience please visit "Your December Story."

Every year, we say we will not wait until the last minute to finish shopping and wrap the gifts. But, it seems we are always doing things at the last minute. Being HOME for Christmas is a real treat and makes all the trouble seem worth it.

For this page, I used the December Week 3 sketch from the Let's Get Sketchy blog:

My paper stash is out of control...and one of the things I have A LOT of is Christmas papers. For this page, the background paper is a heavy cardstock purchased many years ago at a local store (sadly, it closed a couple years ago. This particular paper was a design from their own line of designed paper. I just loved their paper designs and this one is no exception.

Until next time, happy scrapbooking and papercrafting!

Your December Story (Challenge 4) & Let's Get Sketchy: December Week 2

Today I'm sharing a page for Challenge 4 in "Your December Story" from the folks at "Get It Scrapped." This Challenge called for a page about your holiday challenges. For me, one of the biggest challenges is putting up decorations....I hate doing it, but I love the way it looks. Luckily, my better half (much better) is willing to do the decorating! For more information about this 6-week experience please visit "Your December Story."

For this page, I used the December Week 2 sketch from the Let's Get Sketchy blog:

Until next time, happy scrapbooking and papercrafting!

Your December Story (Challenge 3) & Let's Get Sketchy: December Week 1

Baby, It's COLD Outside!

After a very mild Fall and even mild temps into December, we are getting our first taste of much colder temperatures here....in the 20s (Fahrenheit). It will get much colder than this soon. This is just a wake up call to get our snow boots and warm coats, gloves, and hats ready to go!

While the very cold temps we could do without, we do LOVE the beauty of a fresh snow fall. Nothing gets us feeling like "it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" like the first snowfall of the year. Today I'm sharing a page for Challenge 3 in "Your December Story" from the folks at "Get It Scrapped." This Challenge called for a page about what makes December magical for you. For more information about this 6-week experience please visit "Your December Story."

The December Week 1 Sketch from Let's Get Sketchy helped me design this layout. If you're ever in need of a sketch for inspiration, I highly recommend this blog! Beyond their sketches, there are lots and lots of page takes on each sketch that provide even more inspiration.

Your December Story (Challenge 2) & Let's Get Sketchy: November Week 4

Greetings!

Today I'm sharing a page for Challenge 2 in "Your December Story" from the folks at "Get It Scrapped." This Challenge called for a page about your holiday mentors. For more information about this 6-week experience please visit "Your December Story."

To help me organize my layout, I turned to the November Week 4 Sketch from Let's Get Sketchy:

Since the journaling on this page is personal, I put it on a tag and tucked it behind a little pocket (made from a re purposed Christmas Card "front").

Until next time, happy scrapbooking and papercrafting!
