October 2020 Sketch Challenge - Let's Get Sketchy!

Looking for a new sketch for some scrapbooking inspiration? Well, look no further because here is the October sketch from the Let's Get Sketchy blog! Be sure to check out all great takes on this sketch by visiting here.

For my take on this sketch, I used two photos rather than one. The photos were taken on a recent trip to a candy store, so I wanted to embellish the page with something slightly whimsical that reminded me of candy. I found a paper scrap in my stash to fussy cut the paper in the corners. On the back side of the paper, there were smaller versions of the same element and I punched them out with a circle punch. They were the perfect embellishment for this page.

September 2020 Sketch from Let's Get Sketchy

Here is the September sketch from the Let's Get Sketchy Blog

For my take on this sketch, I used some accent papers that were created on a gel press. If you'd like to see this process, please feel free to watch this video on my YouTube channel (Emilee's Paper Caper): https://youtu.be/HnlX35KrGSs

Here is a look at my take on this sketch. To see the creative process of putting this page together, here is a link to the process video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/JmLoAWGQsXc

May 2020 - Scrapbook with Let's Get Sketchy

Here's is another great sketch from the Let's Get Sketchy blog followed by my take!

Instead of putting a strip of paper in the middle of the page, I decided to rip a section from the middle of the page. This was fun, easy and added some texture and depth to the background.

The "Sweet Memories" page title was created with paper scraps using my Word Punch Board (from We R Memory Keepers).

April 2020 Sketch - Let's Get Sketchy!

Check out this great sketch for April from the Let's Get Sketchy blog!

I've included a couple photos of my take on this sketch, but also here is a video showing the creation of this layout.

While the sketch called for just one photo, I decided to use two photos. It also called for a doily for the background, but I decided to create a background with embossing paste. The paste is VERY shiny because it is Heidi Swapp Metallic texture paste!

Until next time, happy scrap booking and paper crafting!

March 2020 Sketch Challenge - Let's Get Sketchy

It's time for more fun with the monthly sketch from the Let's Get Sketchy blog! First, here is a look at the sketch we are working with this month:

This time, I created a 2 page layout with this sketch. For the left page, I followed the sketch orientation as show above. For the right page, I turned the sketch orientation on its right side.

If you enjoy YouTube, here is a link to a video about creating this page!

February 2020 - Let's Get Sketchy Challenge

How many photos do you like to use on a scrapbook page? If you like using 2 photos, you might like the February sketch from the Let's Get Sketchy blog:

Here is the page I created using this sketch as well as a link to the YouTube video showing the creation of this layout!

Border punches are a favorite of mine! For this layout, I used this pattern of evergreen trees.
