LGS March Week 4 + Challenge YOUrself #27

For this page, I decided to try combining challenges from two blogs:

(March Week 4 Sketch Challenge)

(Challenge #27).

Here's how the scrapbook page turned out.....

The triangle on the right side of the layout is a page from an old road atlas! I've had it in my collection of scraps for some time and finally decided to use it on this page. :)

Until next time...
HAPPY SCRAPPING!

Let's Get Sketchy - March Week 3

Recently, I won some paper from BoBunny's "Beautiful Dreamer" collection on Instagram (you can find me on Instagram @egrupp284).

BoBunny has "Freebie Friday" giveaways on Instagram and I was so excited to have my name randomly drawn!

Ever since the prize package arrived, I've been looking forward to using this paper and the Week 3 sketch from the LGS blog was the perfect opportunity.

Hope you enjoy the layout I created! Until next time....HAPPY SCRAPPING!!!

Scrap Our Stash - March Sketch +3 Challenge

This is one of my favorite times of the year because I love watching NCAA basketball! In fact, this layout was made while watching a game.

The March Sketch +3 Challenge from the Scrap Our Stash blog was fun to work with -- For me, the extra challenge to incorporate 3 items from the chart adds to the creative process. As it turned out, I used more than one item from a couple of the lists!

Here are the items I picked from each List:

List 1: Gold and Graph Paper

List 2: Heidi Swapp, Hearts, Hot Pink

List 3: Ink

For the background, I used a 12x12 stencil and some Color Shine (Hot Pink) mist from Heidi Swapp. Then I trimmed the page to 11.5 x 11.5 and used my We R Memory Keepers Mini 8 Punch on the corners and inked the edges w/ Hot Pink ink. Lastly, I mounted the background on a 12x12 sheet of light blue paper (sky/clouds).

The photos on this layout were taken at a weekend crop in January. These crops are held once each quarter (January/April/July/October). There is a core group of ladies that I always enjoy catching up with at these crops. We are in touch via social media and email on a regular basis but actually spending time with them in person is always amazing.

Let's Get Sketchy - March Week 2

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Here's the March Week 2 sketch from the Let's Get Sketchy blog!

And here's my take on the sketch.

For the background, I used a Heidi Swapp stencil and embossing paste.
Old gift cards are the perfect tool for spreading paste -- reduce, reuse, recycle!
